‘Bastion’, which was released for the Xbox 360 in 2011, is being re-released for the Xbox One according to developer Supergiant Games. The title will be available on December 12th for $14.99, and even better will be free to download for those who purchased the title on Xbox 360 until January 1st of next year. In the game, the player controls “the Kid” as he moves through floating, fantasy-themed environments and fights various enemies. The game also features a voiceover from a narrator, and is presented as a two-dimensional game with an isometric camera and a hand-painted, colorful art style. Bastion’s story follows the Kid as he collects special shards of rock to power a structure, the Bastion, in the wake of an apocalyptic Calamity.

The developer stated that the game will be a rebuild, rather than a port from the previous version. So now the title will run at a full 1080P, rather than the 720P on the Xbox 360. The game also features several more achievements than the original, and comes with the Stranger’s Dream DLC included.
