Online smartphone retailer Clove has let the cat out of the bad, revealing the Acer F1, the snapdragon-powered Windows Mobile 6.5 slate, will be arriving on shelves on the 6th October with a contingent of other Windows Mobile 6.5 devices.

The Acer F1 is reminiscent of the HTC Touch HD, and features the same massive 3.8 inch WVGA screen, but, unlike the Touch HD, has the latest generation of Snapdragon processor humming along at 1Ghz and of course Windows Mobile 6.5.

The cherry on the top is that it will be priced incredibly low at £295 + VAT ($480), much less than the £400 + often seen with high end Windows Mobile devices.
