While Windows 10 Mobile is releasing later this year, we were able to get our hands-on with the Windows 10 Mobile emulator for Build 10240, which hasn’t been released to the public just yet. However, you can download the emulator here so you can give it a try at your own risk.

So you’re probably wondering what’s new in this build?

Other than performance enhancements and minor bug fixes, there’s nothing really new to this build. Though, I will say that the OS feels a lot faster and intuitive compared to previous builds, and the animations are silky smooth. I’ve also noticed that multitasking is less taxing on the hardware, So it seems that they’re done adding new features for launch and are shifting focus for bug fixes and stability from here on out. I should probably note that some applications are updated independently, so some updates for these applications may not be included with future builds.

So, are you guys going to download the latest build? Or are you going to wait for the final product? Whatever the case, be sure to let us know in the comments below!
