New APIs in Windows Phone 8 now finally allow developers to create apps which reflect your remaining battery life without having to root your phone.

AAWP posted this video with a quick run down of the available apps, which include  Battery Info, Battery Levl, Battery Level for WP8 and  Battery Tile.

Of the lot they prefer Battery Level for WP8 the most as it not only offered a live tile, but cleverly also allowed the percentage battery life to be shown as a small notification on the lock screen.
