While PC manufacturers are trying to find a way to get rid of the fan, smartphone manufacturers are opting for the otherwise. The Chinese manufacturer Nubia recently announced the latest version of the flagship gaming phone, the Red Magic 3 and it comes with an internal cooling fan, making it the first-ever smartphone to do so. The liquid cooling system is also there.
Inside Nubia’s Red Magic 3 you will find the almighty Snapdragon 855 coupled a huge 12GB of primary memory. However, if you don’t need that much then you can choose other variants as Nubia is also offering a 6GB and 8GB model. The same goes for storage. The base model rocks 64GB and from there you can go up to 256GB.
The smartphone features a 6.65-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with support for DC dimming and HDR. On the back, you will find a 48MP Sony IMX586 and an RGB lighting strip. The front side has a 16 MP front camera for selfies and speakers with DTS:X surround sound. And it comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Powering the smartphone will be a 5000mAh battery with support for 27W quick charging, allowing you to get an hour of playtime with just 10 minutes of charging.
The pricing starts at CNY 2,899 (~$430) and goes up to CNY 4,299 (~$640) for 12GB+256GB configuration. There is no information about the global availability of the smartphone. However, users in China will be able to grab the Red Magic 3 from May 3.
