Microsoft’s quarterly earnings report has just been released, but there is one little tidbit that caught our eye: Xbox Game Pass may be coming to PC.

The current form of Xbox Game Pass does have some limited functionality with the Windows Store. While the majority of games in the service are focused on the company’s console, I’ve personally used the service to play cross-platform exclusives (Halo Wars 2) on my PC.

With the success of the $10-a-month service on console, it’s no surprise that they’re planning to expand it on PC. All that would be required is a higher degree of third-party support on their PC storefront.

“Bringing Game Pass to even the PC is going to be a big element of [increasing our PC community], ” said Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.

Xbox Game Pass is an incredible deal for Xbox gamers, although, that is due to the wealth of titles available on the Xbox marketplace. A lot of work needs to be done before Microsoft can reasonably offer the same service on the Microsoft Store.
