The Internet is fun, informative, here you get to know about the whole world. People, countries, cultures, you name it. And since it’s a platform for so many things, sometimes things do take the wrong turn for something worse. Twitter is one such platform on the internet where users get into a random conversation only to become the victim of hate speech, trolls, etc.
In an effort to make the platform a better place, Twitter is looking to bring some reform on the platform. As first spotted by Jane Manchun Wong, the micro-blogging site will soon let you choose which tweet you want to become a part of without even liking or commenting on the tweet. This will particularly be helpful when you don’t want to become a part of the conversation yet you want to get notified with all the latest tweets in the thread. The new feature will also be very helpful for companies or organizations doing campaign or research on Twitter.
The feature is currently in development, meaning that you might have to wait a bit longer to test this new feature. Note, it is not clear whether this feature will come to both web and app.
