The popular office suite Zoho, in a recent update, has integrated passkeys with Android’s Credential Manager API in its OneAuth app. This has resulted in faster login speeds, around six times faster than previous methods. With this, Zoho will address common authentication challenges such as password fatigue and security vulnerabilities. Since implementing passkeys in 2024, Zoho has observed a 31% month-over-month increase in passkey adoption.

Passkeys offer a passwordless authentication method that utilizes biometric data or device-based authentication, reducing the risk of phishing attacks and eliminating the need for traditional passwords. By leveraging Android’s Credential Manager, Zoho ensures that passkeys are securely stored and synchronized across devices, enhancing user convenience.

The adoption of passkeys has also led to a reduction in support requests related to password issues, streamlining operations for Zoho. This integration reflects a broader industry trend towards more secure and user-friendly authentication methods.
