Until now, YouTube VR app was available only on HTC Vive, PlayStation VR and Google Daydream view platforms. Google has now finally decided to release an official YouTube VR app for Samsung Gear VR, the most popular mobile VR headset in the market. Millions of Gear VR headset owners can now download the new YouTube VR app for free through Oculus store from next week.

Google today also announced a new feature in the YouTube VR app that will allow you watch and discuss videos with others in a communal, virtual space. You can find this feature by tapping on the “Watch Together” icon below the play controls from your Daydream View or Gear VR headset.
