Forza Motorsport 7

The Forza franchise has had some excellent integration as of late with Microsoft’s various services. 2016’s vast, fast and beautiful Forza Horizon 3 featured a dedicated radio station for Groove Music, and the latest entry in the Forza Motorsport series will bring OneDrive music integration in its own way.

Music doesn’t take center stage in Forza Motorsport 7, but its inclusion is done in an even more immersive way than you might expect. Various speakers in the Forzavista garage will play music, and while music is available for the actual races, don’t expect to hear it as just background music like you would in Forza Horizon 3. It’ll play from the speakers in the tracks you’ll be racing at, so while you might not be able to hear full tracks all the time, you’ll definitely get to hear some chunks of your favorite tunes as you go through the race.

It’s certainly an interesting approach, to say the least. We’ve come a long way from the days of Forza Motorsport 1, where ripping music off CDs and putting it into a custom playlist was the only way to listen to anything other than the default soundtrack.

Forza Motorsport 7 will come out October 3rd for both the Xbox One and Windows 10. You can pre-order it digitally here.
