Last year, Microsoft first announced the Skip Ahead “ring” for Windows Insiders, allowing them to skip Ahead of the current Windows Insider builds, and jump to pre release builds as well as receive early updates to in-box apps like Mail, Sticky Notes and so on. Unlike Fast Ring, Skip Ahead ring is only for limited number of users. After a long time, Microsoft opened the Skip ahead ring last month. As Microsoft has reached the user limit, Skip Ahead ring is now already closed. You can’t join Skip Ahead until Microsoft moves the entire Fast ring over to 19H1 after RS5 is released.

Microsoft is planning to release some exciting updates to Skip Ahead users in the coming months. For example, Sticky Notes v3.0 update with dark theme and more will be released in the next Skip Ahead ring build.
