Key notes

  • If you’re currently experiencing an Xbox server down, you’re not the only one.
  • Two errors were reported: Call of Duty Black Ops II launch and issue when downloading Sea of Thieves.
  • Over the weekend, SoT Support also said that players were unable to download the game through Microsoft Store.

If you’re currently experiencing an Xbox server down, you’re not the only one. As per this writing, users are taking to social media to express their dissatisfaction, saying that they’re unable to load or download certain games, like Sea of Thieves.

There are at least two errors that were reported at the time of this writing (8 PM PST, February 18th). Players on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One couldn’t launch Call of Duty Black Ops II – the problem even persisted throughout the weekend.

Number two, users struggled to download games and content, including the popular title Sea of Thieves. An error message stated, “You may get an error when trying to download or install a game.”

While Microsoft initially claimed a fix for the second issue, it seems players are still unable to download the game. This is echoed by Sea of Thieves Support on X (fka Twitter), who previously acknowledged the issue — although, more specifically on Microsoft Store — and stated it would be resolved in “the next week update.”

There are still no words of update or any new information about the Call of Duty Black Ops II launch issue for now, but we will be continuously updating this article once Xbox and Microsoft Store fix the issue.
