The final season of Game of Thrones is currently airing, but the hype doesn’t end when the series does. Xbox currently appears to be teasing something to do with the hit TV show, but we’re just not too sure what.

Note: This news report is spoiler free for season 8 of Game of Thrones.

Two teasers were dropped at the same time – 1AM BST on the 6th of May – on the official Xbox Twitter and Facebook accounts.

The Twitter teaser shows a video full of roaring flames, before the flames give way to the Targaryen crest. It comes accompanied by the caption “And now your wait begins. Stay tuned.”

The Facebook teaser, on the other hand, shows ice and snow blowing across the screen before revealing the sigil of the Night King. The symbol is usually seen sitting on the middle the Night King’s chest, like some kind of fancy badge.

The Facebook teaser also comes accompanied by the same slogan of “And now your wait begins. Stay tuned.”

So what could this mean? The most likely explanation would be something purely aesthetic, such as a limited edition Xbox console design (which wouldn’t be too surprising given that the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition isnow up for order), a special controller design, or some sort of avatar and icon pack.

However, there is a small chance that there could be a new Game of Thrones video game coming. We’re not exactly placing our bets on it, but seeing as E3 is right around the corner, there’s still a chance. It’s just very very small. We’re probably more likely to get an episode where Jon Snow picks up an Xbox controller and asks if anyone wants to play some Crackdown 3.

Game of Thrones season 8 is airing now and the series finale airs on May 19th.
