It looks like the Xbox Game Pass Alpha test will end on April 7. Xbox Game Pass is a subscription service for $10 per month which lets gamers play over 100 Xbox One-compatible games each month. An alpha test for the service started a few weeks ago but it’s almost ending as soon as it started! When Xbox Insiders opened the Insider Hub, they were greeted with a rather important message from Microsoft. The post read:

“Thank you for participating in the Xbox Game Pass Alpha Preview. Your feedback has been invaluable and will make the service better for all gamers. We will be closing Preview on April 7 in order to make our final tweaks and updates. But don’t worry, we’re getting close to launch and Xbox Game Pass will be available for all gamers later this Spring.”

Many Xbox Insiders were expecting the test to last much longer but that doesn’t appear to be the case. It looks like Microsoft are tweaking the service at an impressive rate so they should have enough testing hours when Xbox Game Pass Alpha Preview ends on April 7. Hopefully Microsoft will reveal which games will be part of the initial wave soon because the program needs heavy-hitters in order to succeed.
