Americans watching TV must be pretty confused, being confronted very often by a world in which Microsoft’s mobile products are not just common, but just about the only ones in use.

The appearance of the handsets and tablets are part of Microsoft’s marketing plan to make consumers feel they are not alone in purchasing a Windows Phone, even if 100 of their real-life friends have iPhone or Android handsets.

The latest TV program to benefit from Microsoft’s sponsorship is popular show Parks & Rec, and a whole range of Nokia Windows Phones, including the Nokia Lumia 925 and Nokia Lumia 1020 featured heavily in the episode.  Also present was the Microsoft Surface.
