Android rises, Windows Mobile declines in smartphone market share chart

Now while we are all waiting for the release of Microsoft’s response to the iPhone and Android, it seems our current OS is taking a slow turn down Kin lane and current numbers don’t look good. A recent report that showed Android being the top seller in the smart phone market was recently looked over by the guys at Techflash, and they saw the numbers for Windows Mobile. These numbers have been stable for some then up and it finally seems to be taking its last fall due to the anticipation for WP7 and the lack of new devices.

9% is fairly low, and look at the charts. Business phones are all taking a dive, Blackberry is dropping, and I am sure if Symbian was there, it would be dropping too. The numbers do not surprise me considering how many droid are released a year, how big Apple’s brand name is, and how little Microsoft and hardware companies are continuing to work with WM6.

Is this number surprising to you? Do you really care? P.S I really do not. Can you see WM6 going back up?
