Last month, Microsoft unveiled the new Surface Book and Surface Pro 4. Both of the devices have received decent reviews from major tech blogs, however, some users are reporting issues on the devices since the launch — especially on the Surface Book. Recently, some users reportedly experience battery drain when their Surface Book or Surface Pro 4 was in sleep, or standby mode.

Now, as it turns out, Windows Hello could be causing the unusual battery drain on the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4. Microsoft is yet to confirm this issue, however, if you don’t want your device’s battery to drain, simply head over to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in and disable Windows Hello facial recognition.

It is worth noting that Microosft is probably aware of this issue, and a fix should be coming soon. As usual, we will keep you updated with the latest news on this topic, but make sure to bookmark our dedicated Surface coverage page for the latest Surface news!
