Microsoft is rolling out a new update for the Windows Camera app (via Windowsblogitalia). The latest update bumps the app to v2019.222.10.0 and brings a couple of new features. You can head below to take a look at the changelog for the update.

  • New shooting modes – Two new shooting modes have been added- Document and Blackboard.
  • Bug fixes and various improvements.

With the latest update, Microsoft is trying to merge the features of Office Lens into the Windows Camera app. Both the Document and Blackboard (known as Whiteboard in Office Lens) mode are available in Office Lens. We do hope that Microsoft doesn’t pull off Office Lens from various platforms in the future. Nevertheless, the latest update is currently available for Windows Insiders on Skip Ahead Ring. If you’re on Skip Ahead then you can download the latest update from the Microsoft Store.
