Windows 10 users can now buy Wi-Fi access on the world's 'largest hotspot network'

Windows 10 includes a neat new feature which allows users to buy Wi-Fi from different services using the “Paid WiFi & Mobile” app. on their devices. Today, the world’s “largest hotspot network”, Fon announced that it now allows Windows 10 users to buy WiFi access on their network. With this, Windows 10 users can buy Wi-Fi on their Windows 10 devices and be able to connect to the internet via Fon which has more  than 20 million hotspots around the world. As this feature is integrated right into the Windows Store, users can easily pay for the Wi-Fi using their existing payment methods on the Windows Store. Furthermore, if their device supports Windows Hello, the authentication process for the transaction gets much easier as well.

To buy Wi-Fi from Fon, all of you have to do is find a hotspot in the Network dialog from the system tray and follow the steps below:

  1. Select the Network icon at the far right-hand end of the taskbar > look for a WiFi network that has WiFi Hotspot underneath it > select the network > View plans from Windows Store.
    This opens the Paid WiFi & Mobile app.
  2. In Paid WiFi & Mobile, choose a plan to buy from Windows Store, then follow the steps to buy the plan and get online.
    If you haven’t added a payment method to your Microsoft account, you’ll be asked to do so.
