rings

Windows 10 Mobile continues to surprise us with little tweaks and signs of polish.

The latest, noticed by reader Lingeshwaran, is that the OS will now count and display how many rings a caller waited before dropping an unanswered call.

The reason and need for this feature is unclear, but some premium number scams do of course entice you to call back by only ringing once, suggesting this may be useful for some.

The feature has been noticed on Windows 10 Mobile Build 10572 which has rolled out recently to Insiders willing to roll back to WP8.1, and should soon be superseded by 10575, which will address the upgrade issues which prevented many from installing the OS.
