WhatsApp has been working to address the issue of viral fake news messages being forwarded widely around their messaging system, and one of their measures has been to limit the ability to forward messages to only 20 people.

Now that feature has reached their WhatsApp Web desktop app.

VersionĀ of the app has the following changelog.

  • You can forward a message up to a maximum of 20 contacts.
  • Other bug fixes and various improvements.

As WhatsApp for Windows is essentially a web wrapper for WhatsApp Web, the update should come automatically. If not, browse to C:\Windows\Users\* username * \AppData\Local\WhatsApp and run Update.exe.

If you want to download WhatsApp for Windows, you can get it from this link.
