VLC  for Windows 10 may be out as an active UWP app right now, but Video Lan isn’t stopping their app development just yet.

Thomas Nigro – one of the inexplicably public faces of VLC for Windows has announced a release of VLC for Windows targeting Microsoft’s Windows 10 Anniversary Update (previously known as RS1).

While there isn’t much detail about the RS1 Update, Thomas Nigro has intimated that it will have to do with implementing  new UI features that Microsoft has enabled in the Anniversary Update, creating a more pleasant visual experience. An app update for devices on the November Update and the Xbox One is also planned in the same time frame, though the Xbox One app release is slated for a vague “later” (soon) .
