We reported two weeks ago that  GoPro, who makes wireless action cameras, are releasing an official Windows Phone 8 in the near future.

Now for those who just cant wait a 3rd party app has appeared in the Windows Phone store.

GoPro Control allows you to fully control your GoPro Hero 2 (with Wifi BacPac) and Hero 3 White/Silver/Black Edition.

The app features include:

  • Turn camera on/off
  • Start/stop recording
  • Switch between modes (burst, video, photo, time-lapse, etc.)
  • Change all settings (camera name, resolution, frame rate, ProTune, white balance, etc.)

The only feature not supported yet is Live preview. The app costs $2.49, unfortunately with no free trial, and can be found in the Windows Phone Store here.
