The Twitch app on PlayStation 4 received a much needed update today, but Xbox One users haven’t been so lucky. Fortunately while the app hasn’t been updated just yet on Xbox, it will be very soon.
Tom Robertson, Twitch’s Senior Director of Product, took to Twitter to assuage Twitch users on Xbox. According to him, the team is currently working on updating the app for Microsoft’s console, though he did not offer a specific time frame as to when we can expect it other than “soon.”
If you're an XBox user, fear not. The team is hard at work on a new one for you too. Coming soon ™.

Twitch update 1.21 that went out to PlayStation 4 users today brought with it several new features, most notably the ability to preview livestreams nearly any time you want. Aside from a new coat of paint to make it look more sleek, the app will still function the same as before.
While Microsoft primarily promotes Mixer on its system, Twitch is still a by and large the more popular livestreaming service. It’ll be nice to see it updated on Xbox One hopefully within the coming weeks.
