We have covered the Tweetro saga before, which basically amounts to no third party twitter clients being able to have more than 100,000 users.

This forced the developer, LazyWormApps, to pull their well-regarded twitter client Tweetro from the Windows 8 Store, as a free, ad-supported client would just not be financially viable with such a small user base.

The app has now returned in a premium form for a rather pricy $9.99. Times this by a potential 100,000 users and the total ends up close to $1 million, which should keep LazyWormApps in pizza for some time.

Due to Twitter’s policies there will actually come a point when the Tweetro + app is sold out, and no new copies can be generate, so if you were looking to pick this app up it is a good idea to get it sooner rather than later.

The App Features:

  • Real-time streaming of tweets (timeline & search results)
  • In-app browser
  • Pin multiple tweet columns to main hub
  • Photo browser
  • Custom views (snapped, portrait, landscape)
  • Semantic zoom for bird’s eye view
  • Notifications
  • Multiple account support
