TVPlayer app coming to Windows Phone

TV Streaming app TVPlayer has announced that they have a Windows Phone app in development.

TVPlayer lets you watch Live TV on your phone and tablet and features live TV from many of the UK’s most popular channels including:

  • Entertainment: BBC One, BBC Two, ITV 1, Channel 4, FIVE, Dave, Really, Yesterday, Drama, BBC Three, BBC Four, 4Music
  • Music: Kiss, Kerrang!, The BOX, Smashhits, Magic, Heat, Capital, Heart, NOW, Planet Pop, Clubland and Channel AKA
  • Kids: CBBC and CBeebies
  • Lifestyle: Fashion One, Fashion TV, QVC, QVC Style, QVC Beauty and QVC Extra
  • News: BBC News, Russia Today, Al Jazeera and Euro News
  • Desi: Sony SAB, Colors and Rishtey

The service is free and ad-supported, but plan to add a £4.99 subscription service that includes more than 25 extra channels, including Lifetime, History, Gold, Discovery Channel, British Eurosport, Sony Entertainment Television, Cartoon Network and more.

Besides Windows Phone, TVPlayer are also planning to bring an app to an unnamed games console.
