As Japan celebrates Golden Week, a time of rest and rejuvenation, Xbox is marking the occasion with the launch of Towerborne on April 29. Coinciding with this festive season, the game debuts a limited-time in-game event titled Shiro’s Golden Journey.
Players will meet a new character — Shiro, a mysterious NPC wearing a fox mask — and embark on a fresh questline that unfolds the secrets of his backstory.

Upon completion of the questline, players receive a number of special items and cosmetics that are inspired by traditional Japanese aesthetics.
The event introduces not only new content and visuals but also a brand-new feature designed specifically for this limited run.
“Players will team up with the mysterious, fox-masked NPC known as Shiro to complete a new questline,” wrote Sebastian Yamaguchi, Xbox Wire Japan editor. “As they progress, they’ll uncover the story behind Shiro and earn event-exclusive items.”
Towerborne is now available on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC via the Xbox app, and Game Pass through the Xbox Game Preview program. PC players can also access the game via Steam Early Access. With this event, Towerborne
offers fans a rich blend of action, mystery, and cultural celebration.
