I have just stumbled across this video review of the Toshiba TG01. Unfortunately in Japanese, it still does tell us a bit more about the device.

Of note is that the device will be arriving on the NTT DoCoMo network soon as the DoCoMo Pro series T-01A. Also of note is that Coreplayer has been replaced with Kinoma Play, and that the lack of a D-pad has been remedied with virtual floating version.  The device ships with both Internet Explorer and the Netfront browser.

The smartphone is apparently quite snappy and features a USB Mass storage mode.

Looking at the video, I cant help but feel a great device is being let down by a lack of UI polish which wont be helped by a mishmash of 3rd party applications. The device however will probably benefit greatly from the upcoming Windows Mobile 6.5 update.

The device is expected to be released between June and July 2009 on the DoCoMo network.
