Update: Perception has been delayed until June 7. Instead of Perception, you should check out The Culling which will enter Xbox Game Preview on Friday, June 2.
Every week a handful of games release on Xbox One and many elude owners of the console due to their timid marketing. Xbox Wire makes sure you know about them but can’t provide gamers with recommendations. A lot of these titles are absolutely phenomenal and it’s a shame that they aren’t noticed. Here are some games coming out between May 29 and June 2 which you should check out. Some of the experiences are quite obvious while others may surprise you.
Victor Vran: Overkill Edition
Become Victor, hunter of demons, and forge your own hero on a quest to liberate the cursed city of Zagoravia. Decide how you play at any moment, even in the heat of battle. Modify your demon slaying loadout as you dodge deadly attacks, leap from towering locations, and take on hordes of hideous beasts and cunning boss monsters.
Tekken 7
The storied fighting franchise returns for another round in Tekken 7. The franchise rises to the next level with photorealistic visuals and new, innovative fighting mechanics. Tekken 7 resurrects the attitude, competitiveness and showmanship rooted in its arcade roots to provide the ultimate fighting experience.
Tokyo 42
Tokyo 42 is a hyper-stylish isometric open world shooter. Framed for a murder you didn’t commit, you’ll delve into a world of assassins, deadly corporate intrigue and…tactical cats. A single-player story mode and a host of multiplayer modes await in this unique and critically-acclaimed title.
Lock’s Quest
Build defenses and battle against the Clockwork horde in the next-generation remake of the critically-acclaimed handheld game! You play as Lock, a boy who stumbles upon an invasion of his village, which triggers a wider war between Kingdom Force and a revived Clockwork Army, led by the nefarious Lord Agony.
Perception
Perception is a first-person narrative horror adventure that tells the story of Cassie, a blind heroine who uses her extraordinary hearing and razor-sharp wits to unravel the mysteries of an abandoned estate that haunts her dreams.
Apart from the games mentioned above, Xbox One is getting free-to-play Crossout, The Culling, Dragon Bros, Plutobi: The Dwarf Planet Tales, Speedrunners, Star Balls and Thea: The Awakening. There might be other surprise releases in there too like last week’s ACA NeoGeo World Heroes 2. This week might not be as eventful as the last few put together, but it still includes some fun titles. All of these are great experiences Xbox One owners should try out.
