We reported earlier that Threema was planning to launch their Windows Phone app on Thursday, the 27th of November. It’s Thursday and here they are.
What’s Threema? From the store listing :
Threema is a mobile messaging app that puts security and privacy first. With true end-to-end encryption, you can be certain that only you and the intended recipient can read your messages. You can use Threema completely anonymously, without giving away personal information such as phone numbers or email addresses. Your messages will be deleted from our servers immediately after being delivered. With Threema, you’re perfectly protected against data abuse.
In effect, it is a Whatsapp and Telegram competitor. However, unlike Whatsapp and Telegram it is not free. The app will set you back a hefty £0.79 or $0.99. Before you start whinging, its a fair price for what the security features it offers right now and the promise of future updates.
Grab it here.
