OnePlus is among very Android smartphone manufacturers who are committed to offering timely software updates to its users. The company has recently started rolling-out Android 10-based OxygenOS 10 update to the OnePlus and 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro users and also promised that older OnePlus smartphones will also get the Android 10 update.
OnePlus today has announced the date on which the Android 10 update will be rolled out to the older OnePlus smartphones. At the global launch event of the OnePlus 7T series, OnePlus said that OnePlus 6 and 6T, OnePlus 5 and 5T are the smartphones that will be getting the latest Android update. There was no mention of other older OnePlus phones, so it’s pretty clear that OnePlus 3 and 3T are out of the race.
OnePlus 6 and 6T users will get the Android 10 update by the end of this month, while OnePlus 5 and 5T users will be getting it in the second quarter of 2020.
Meanwhile, the latest OnePlus smartphones that are OnePlus 7T, 7T Pro and 7T Pro McLaren Edition will run Android 10 out of the box.
