The rumours that Samsung’s popular Note series may be coming to an end are brewing once again.
We have heard last year that Samsung was looking to bring the features of the Note to the S series of handsets and phase out their Fall flagship in favour of the Fold series.
In the end, this did not happen this year, but it appears plans may have only been delayed for 12 months.
There are already strong rumours that the Samsung Galaxy S21 will support Samsung’s S-pen, and now there are indications that the Samsung Galaxy Note 21 is not even on Samsung’s roadmap.
XDA-Dev’s Max Weinbach tweeted a list of Samsung flagships for 2021, with the Note 21 conspicuously missing.

Notably, he said three of these devices will have S-Pen support, likely including the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3.
Reliable Samsung leaker Ice Universe supported the rumour, noting there was no information about the development of the Samsung Galaxy Note 21 series.

If true, we should expect the Fold series to be the centre of Samsung’s smartphone innovation universe, with the main concern being the much-increased cost of the Fold, though of course, those who are on the Note cycle could like switch to the S21 Ultra.
