Xbox Live Gold members can now download The Witness and Cars 2: The Video Game for free through the Games with Gold program. Each month four games are discounted across Xbox One and Xbox 360 and April starts off with a bang. You can download The Witness on Xbox One while Cars 2: The Video Game can be downloaded for the Xbox 360, though it can still be played on an Xbox One because it is backward compatible.
Developed by Braid creator Jonathan Blow, The Witness received critical acclaim upon release. It takes place on an island where the player must solve increasingly difficult puzzles. While it launched on PlayStation 4, it eventually came to Xbox One several months later. Cars 2: The Video Game, as you can probably guess, is a racing game based on the Pixar animated film Cars 2.
The Witness is available for free the entire month until April 30 on Xbox One. Cars 2: The Video Game, on the other hand, will only be free until April 15.
If you have a Gold membership, be sure to check out these games. You can’t go wrong when they’re free. And you might discover a game you like that you would have otherwise passed on.
