It seems if you have upgraded to Windows Phone 8.1 it does not mean the old Music and Video app, which bizarrely is a lot better than the new Xbox Music app, has not been deleted.

Despite mostly being inaccessible, the app can still be resurrected, such as by using the NFC tag in the JBL speakers, which will offer to open the app, or even by writing a new tag using the Nokia NFC Writer app.

Given that it is still accessible, I suspect a shortcut app can easily be written to open the app directly. Any Devs interested?
