Only a few days ago we covered the story of Babbel disappearing from the Windows Phone store. We asked the German company for a statement and just today we have received one. Read it after the break.

Translated to English: „Since April 2015 the Babbel Windows app is no longer available. The app was built to be a light version of Babbel, which no longer lives up to our quality standards. Of course we can imagine having a full version of Babbel available for Windows. Strategically, however, at this time this is not intended.”

Another app gone, another app which won’t come back anytime soon. Unfortunate, but let’s just hope there will be a universal Windows app later when Windows 10 is out. With this statement we can at least hope.
