Another significant app has been removed from the Windows Phone Store, this time it is Babbel, a language tuition app, brought to the platform in 2013 and had not been updated since that year.

Interestingly in a press release then, Babbel saidLanguage learning apps presented in October for Windows 8 tablets and PCs are the most successful educational apps in the Windows Store in Germany.

Babbel’s other mobile apps can be found here.

Language teaching apps are great examples of apps which would benefit particularly from being made Universal apps for Windows (Phones, desktops, tablets and Xbox), and we hope that when the company notices these new opportunities arising, they make a return to the Windows store.
