The last time we heard off the Moto 360 when the second-generation version was released, back in 2015. At the time, it was considered the most attractive smartwatch on the market:
Fast-forward to 2019, and the watch is making a comeback- but a lot has changed.
The company eBuyNow has licenced the Moto 360 brand from Motorola to bring us the third-generation model of the smartwatch in 3 stylish varieties- Steel Grey, Rose Gold and Phantom Black:
Sporting the same circular display, the third-generation Moto 360 is 1.2-inches, 360 x 360 and has an OLED screen. Unlike the last model, the flat tire appears to have bid a fond farewell. It weighs 52g, has a 42mm body and fits 20mm bands.
The smartwatch is powered by a Snapdragon 3100 chip, 1GB RAM and 8GB storage. Its battery is 355mAH.
The Moto 360 is a Wi-Fi/Bluetooth-only smartwatch and supports GPS and NFC for mobile payments, something missing from the second generation device.
Of the two buttons on the right-hand side, the upper rotates, and the lower one is customisable.
Included in the box are 2 bands which you can swap: leather, for normal daytime use, and rubber for when you’re at the gym.
The Moto 360 is due to ship in December and will set you back a hefty $349.
Do our readers think eBuyNow’s updated version of the Moto360 does it justice?
