Samsung has been working on One UI for a while now and released the beta for a couple of devices a while back. While the company is still working on the brand new UI, the folks at XDA released their first review of the new UI. Unfortunately, Samsung hasn’t been the best when it comes to releasing timely updates but seeing the UI reminds you that good things come to those who wait.

The new One UI will be released with the Android Pie update to the eligible Samsung devices. XDA Developers took the latest beta of One UI for testing and their results show why Samsung has delayed the update. The new UI is filled with new features like the new gestures including lift to wake up, improvements to the S-Pen (for Note devices) and more. The new UI also introduces a system-wide dark theme for those who don’t like light themes. Moreover, Samsung has specifically worked on one-handed use considering the size of Galaxy devices. Now, all the system apps have quick settings at the bottom to navigate easier with one hand.

You can head over to XDA Developers and read the full review of One UI. Do remember that it’s still beta so you might see changes in the final version. Samsung is expected to roll out the new UI along with the Pie update to the devices in January next year.
