The ever receding Dell Venue Pro slips further into vapourware territory

The Dell Venue Pro has already picked up a reputation as a very troubled handset, with issues regarding engineering samples being shipped, WIFI issues and disappearing stock.
Now it appears the handset is receding ever further from general availability , with fans who ordered the handset recently being informed it will only arrive some time next year, around the 5th January.
Prior to this many customers have been told their handsets have already been shipped, unfortunately never to arrive.
The Dell Venue Pro with its portrait keyboard was meant to be the keystone of Microsoft’s attack on the corporate messaging world, but unless Dell gets its act together very soon it will likely turn into a terrible damp squib.
