Telegram has rolled out another update for its Windows phone app, bumping it up to Version 2.8.

First of all, Telegram has incorporated saved messages into their Windows phone apps.  This lets users bookmark important messages from chats to a saved messages folder, so they can surface them more easily on demand.

The firm has also added pinned messages support for group message admins, so users can now messages to their group chat for subscribers to see. This is especially important if an admin wants to make an important announcement visible in groups which have a rapid message flow.

Here’s what else is new in version 2.8

  • Grouped Photos. Group media into an album when sharing multiple photos and videos. Choose the exact order of media you send.
  • Saved Messages. Bookmark messages by forwarding them to “Saved Messages”. Access them from the Chats list or Settings.
  •  Better Search. Find bots and public channels faster by typing their titles in Search. Popular bots and channels are shown first.
  •  Pinned Messages. If you are a channel admin, pin messages to focus your subscribers’ attention on important announcements.
