The popular messaging app, Telegram Messenger (Beta) has just scored another update for Windows Phone. The app just went to v1.9.0.0 which proves to be a security-focused update. The app adds a couple of security features as well as fixes some nasty bugs. Here’s the changelog:
- Sessions List- View your active Telegram sessions (on desktop, tablet and mobile devices) and close specific sessions remotely.
- Link Previews- Get rich link summaries for tweets, YouTube videos, Instagram photos and other content.
- Two-step verification- Set up an additional password that will be required to log into your Telegram account.
Two-step verification is a welcome feature from the security point of view and the ability to remotely close active Telegram sessions is a bonus for people who have a habit of leaving the app open on multiple devices.
