Telegram desktop app updated with Action Centre notifications on Windows 10

Telegram has updated its Windows desktop app to provide better integration with the Windows 10 Action Centre.

The app, which is not a Windows Store app, now allows one to receive new message notifications directly from the action centre.

The app also provides fine-grained control of the content of the notifications:

Notifications are not interactive yet (ie for example being able to reply directly from the action centre to messages without opening the app), but it is very encouraging to see non-windows store app, particularly messaging apps, embrace this Windows 10 feature and make it more useful.

The latest Telegram desktop lets you block users from their profile page. It can be downloaded from their website here.
