Microsoft has announced the launch of its Microsoft Online Store with Tata CLiQ. Buyers will be able to order Microsoft’s products at Tata’s TataCLiQ.com  online store and have them delivered to brick and mortar stores in their local area for pick-up and payment, returns and other servicing, via a large on-ground store network of partner brands.

The Store will allow consumers across the country to enjoy an easy access to Microsoft’s wide range of productivity-enhancing products.

To kick it off buyers will be able to purchase the Surface Pro 4 on along with the Type cover at a discount of Rs 10,000, plus a free Office 365 subscription for a year. In addition customers will also be able to buy Office 365 subscription, Lumia 550 and Lumia 650 at the online store.

Tata CLiq styles itself after UK’s upmarket John Lewis stores, concentrating on aspirational products, according to Ashutosh Pandey, CLiQ’s chief executive, in an interview to The Times of India.

“While Amazon and Flipkart can become the Walmarts of Indian e-commerce selling everything under the sun, we want to be seen as the John Lewis of the space,” he has told the newspaper.
