Microsoft recently announced a major redevelopment at its headquarters in Redmond, Washington. The project will include the removal of 12 existing buildings and the construction of 18 new buildings along with new running and walking trails, open spaces and sports facilities.
This project is scheduled for completion in December 2019, but Microsoft has given us a way to have an early look at the structure using the wonders of Augmented Reality.
They have published an app for iOS, Android and Windows called Reveille which offers a virtual look at the new development. Users simply need to install the app and then point it at a special pattern on a screen or printed out to see the campus in all its glory.
Viewers can look at the structure from various heights or directions to appreciate its full extent (strangely I cant see the rumoured cricket pitch) and there are specific hot points which can be clicked for a ground-level view.
