Suggested replies in ChatGPT could be a game-changing feature, and according to OpenAI’s August 2023 update of the AI chatbot, we could be seeing this feature any time soon.

If you’re not familiar with the feature, suggested replies in the ChatGPT list suggested replies below your prompt. These replies are generated by ChatGPT based on the context of your conversation.

“Go deeper with a click. ChatGPT now suggests relevant ways to continue your conversation,” says the company in a tweet.

Google Bard, a rival to ChatGPT, has had the suggested replies feature for some time. It is available in 180 countries and territories, and it also has multi-modal capabilities, which means you can upload images to the chat. However, it is not yet able to understand people’s faces.

Besides this update, OpenAI also announced a lot of new features. Not only did it set GPT-4 as the default model for ChatGPT Plus, the premium version of the service, but it also rolled out prompt examples that can help you get started.

Not too long ago, Microsoft, the tech giant that spent billions in investment for OpenAI, also rolled out a lot of exciting tweaks to its Bing AI chatbot in the past few weeks. After previously “gatekeeping” the chatbot to Edge as an exclusive feature, the Redmond-based tech giant finally launched it to other browsers, like Chrome.
