Everyone’s favorite indie farming simulator is about to get a lot more crowded. While before you had to be content with exploring Pelican Town and cultivating a thriving farm by yourself, you’ll soon be able to do it with friends.

This multiplayer update will support co-op for up to 4 players. You’ll be able to build your farm together, fish, participate in festivals and activities around town, and journey into the local cave.

The multiplayer update will be releasing on August 1 for PC, Mac, and Linux. A date was not provided for the Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch multiplayer update, but developer Eric Barone did say it would be coming “soon” to consoles. Considering its PC release is in just 10 days, I’d expect multiplayer to hit consoles sometime over the summer, but who knows what problems may arise.
