Microsoft today announced that Spotify will be coming to the Windows Store in the next few weeks.

While the app maker earlier stopped updating their Windows phone app, it appears that they would now be making use of the Windows Store for their PC users via Centennial, including leveraging easier install and update features the Store offers.

Arguably, with Spotify now heading to the Windows Store, it raises the cachet of the Windows Store that much higher – making it more attractive for users in general.

It’s not yet available to download at the moment, but we’ll let you know when it is.
