SPB Software has just announced  SPB TV 3.0.  The streaming TV platform is being offered to broadcasters and content owners to distribute content on mobile devices worldwide.

In the SPB TV 3.0 content directory, the user is free to choose from a wide range of paid and free broadcast content in the same way as they would in an app store. The broadcaster has complete freedom to offer their content how they want – whether ad-supported, paid-for or free, making SPB TV the ultimate TV app store for mobile devices.

The software supports streaming over both WIFI and 3G, and the app will be free to the end user.
