So far, Soundcloud has only been available to Windows users via 3rd party apps such as Soundcloud+ (unofficial) and Audiocloud. The app has been available for years on both Android and iOS. However, in a statement to tech blog Winbeta, in response to a question raised about the lack of an official app, Soundcloud stated:

“Soundcloud is evaluating Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile platforms but has nothing to announce at this time.”

Now while this is nowhere near an official confirmation that the app is coming to the Windows platform, an “evaluation” is better than a lack of a statement any day, and even more so better than an outright no. And with the company looking into both the PC and mobile platforms, they would most likely consider the Universal Windows Platform; and with more than 350 million users on Windows 10 now, that “evaluation” may turn into a reality sooner than later.

We’ll keep you updated with any new information about an official app coming to Windows.
