Recently we reported a new bug found in Skype Lite which placed phantom calls when the phone was connected to Bluetooth. Now it looks like Microsoft has taken a note of same and a new update has been pushed to fix the said bug. The latest version bumps Skype Lite to v1.25 and brings a fix for the bug.

For those who don’t know, Skype Lite was facing an unusual issue on Android devices running Oreo where the app placed calls even when the user didn’t initiate the call. This was frustrating especially when all you want is to listen to music while driving.

Changelog:

  • This release contains a fix for the SkypeLite app’s interference with the Bluetooth devices.

You can now reinstall/update your Skype Lite app from the Play Store below to fix this annoying issue. Do let us know if you’re still facing the issue or not in the comments section below.
